Meet with the Alpine Guide, check materials and climb up to the Monzino Refuge via an easy via ferrata.
Dinner and overnight at the refuge.
THE next morning we will set out for theAiguille Croux where we will climb the normal route or the Southwest ridge, also known as the Via Cheney.
The difficulties, more continuous on the Cheney Route, in both cases do not exceed IV°-IV°+.
Exposure on the other hand, in some passages, is sometimes considerable.
Depending on snow cover, crampons will or will not be required.
The aiguille Croux, besides being a technically worthy climb, is a highly rewarding peak.
Overhanging the Freney glacier, it will feel as if you are touching the imposing West Face of theAiguille Noire de Peuterey.
The descent is along the normal route via several abseils.

For those with top-level training and who already have good experience on terrain of this type, it is also possible to do the day trip without an overnight stay in the hut.
