Terms of sale

Price includes:

  • Mountain Guide Assistance
  • Liability Insurance

    Price does not include:
  • Transfer fees
  • Expenses of any technical equipment rental
  • Any expenses for food and lodging, for clients and the Mountain Guide, for activities structured over several days
  • Refound of travel expenses of the Alpine Guide for excursions outside the Aosta Valley

Reservation and payment:

    • The activity reservation is made upon payment by bank transfer of a deposit equal to 50% of the guiding fee.
    • The total payment must be made within 10 days before the start of the activity.
    • For reservations made within 10 days of the start of the excursion, payment must be made in full at the time of confirmation.
    • The Mountain Guide is bound to the requested dates only upon receipt of the deposit.
    • Any deposits required for booking the lodge must be paid to the lodge directly by the client

Confirmation of the conduct of the hike:
Given and considering the extreme changeability of weather and snow conditions on the mountain
the confirmation of the conduct of the hike will take place, by the Mountain Guide, one or two days before the start of the hike.
The Mountain Guide is the sole decision-maker regarding the possibility or impossibility of carrying out the activity.

Cancellation by the mountain guide before the activity takes place:
In case of cancellation by the organizer (adverse weather, bad conditions of the itinerary, injury or illness of the guide…) the client may:

  • take advantage of the same offer in later period
  • take advantage of another offer with same price
  • take advantage of another offer with different price (with return or integration of the price difference)
  • Withdraw from the contract with return of the amount paid.
    In the event that deposits have been paid at the time of the shelter reservation, it will be at the discretion of the shelter to consider whether or not to return them.

In case of redefinition of the program, the daily rate will be calculated based on the difficulty of the trip starting from €400.
The rate will be adjusted, where applicable, to the number of people.

Cancellation by the Client before the activity takes place:
Should the Client cancel the reservation before the activity begins:

  • Cancellation before 30 days the activity: return of deposit paid
  • Cancellation between 29 and 15 days from the holding of the activity: refund of 50% of the deposit paid
  • Cancellation with less than 14 days’ notice from holding the activity: no return of deposit.
  • Cancellation with less than 10 days’ notice: no refund of amounts paid.

Any cancellations due to injury, illness and/or other impediments of participants will not be equally reimbursed.

Cancellation or modification of the activity by the Guide during the course of the excursion:
Due to the objective and/or subjective conditions and situations that may occur from time to time, the Mountain Guide cannot give any guarantee that the planned activity will be fully carried out.
The Mountain Guide, without his actions being in any way questioned, will have the right to cancel or partially modify the program in relation to weather and environmental conditions as well as the physical and/or mental condition of each participant.
In such a case the fee should be fully recognized.

Risk Disclosure.
Sports and mountaineering activities in the mountain environment are potentially dangerous for individual safety and exposed to objective risks due to environmental characteristics and weather situation (e.g. danger of falling rocks, risk of avalanches, presence of crevasses in areas covered by glaciers, possibility of the sudden change of weather conditions, etc.);
The client agrees to make the Mountain Guide aware of the actual level of his/her technical skills, experience and physical condition;
The client agrees to provide the mountain guide with all information pertaining to any illnesses, intolerances and/or allergies;
The customer by making the reservation also implicitly declares that he/she is physically fit to perform the proposed activity.
By making the reservation, the client implicitly declares that he/she is aware of the characteristics of the activity in which he/she intends to participate, the potential objective dangers, as well as about the equipment, clothing and specific technical skills required;
The client agrees to abide by all directions given by the Mountain Guide during the course of the activity;
It is strongly recommended to take out thesupplementary insurance reserved for excursions in the company of a Valle d’Aosta Mountain Guide.
